About Slither IO

Every Bite Makes a Difference

Slither IO starts with a little worm and a map full of other players trying to do exactly the same thing. Scattered glowing dots are your first source of food, and collecting them slowly adds length to your body. At first, you can move around without much trouble, but the arena gets a lot more stressful when you start running into giant worms that stretch across your path.

There is no need to fight with weapons here. Your biggest job is to stay alive while finding ways to make other players crash into you. The longer you survive, the more chances you get to climb the leaderboard in the top-right corner.

Big Worms Can Fall Too

One strange turn can ruin an entire match. If your head touches another worm's body, you're finished, and your long creature disappears into a trail of glowing orbs. All that food becomes a prize for whoever reaches it first. It's pretty frustrating to lose a huge worm this way, especially when another player collects your leftovers right in front of you.

The same rule works in your favor, though. A smaller worm might look harmless, but it can take down a much larger rival with one well-timed move. Sometimes, staying close to a busy group is worth the risk because a single crash can leave enough food to grow quickly.

Make Other Players Do the Work

Getting bigger opens up a few sneaky ways to play. You can use a speed boost to cut across another worm's path, hoping the other player turns too late. If your body is long enough, circling a smaller worm can also leave it with fewer places to escape. Keep the ring tight without rushing, and wait for the other player to make a mistake.

How High Can You Climb?

Slither IO is easy to pick up, but surviving a crowded arena is another story. You might spend several minutes building a giant worm only to lose it in a second. Still, the chance to start over, collect more orbs, and beat your previous leaderboard position makes each new round worth trying.
